What a difference almost four weeks makes to the life of kittens....and to us!
Here are our little rescue kittens, Islay and Skye, which are now about 14 weeks old. They have had their vaccinations (and have forgiven me from taking them to the vet!) and they are settling in very well.
Like most relaxed kittens, they choose to sleep in the strangest of positions as you can see here, and to play with interesting toys, especially pieces of paper and plastic!

Our Cake Fairy at The Dulaig whisked up these little Star Spangled Meringues as a surprise to wish our guests from USA a very Happy Thanksgiving.

This morning we awoke to this gorgeous scene in our garden.......the snow has arrived! For Hope, our little red-legged partridge hatched in summer, it is her first experience of snow lying but she sheltered in a dry spot in our fruit cage in the garden and is happily scratching around and eating this morning.
In my previous post I told of taking to a rescue centre a baby hedgehog we rescued, but the happy story does not end there.
Whilst at Munlochy Animal Aid I mentioned to Iona who runs the sanctury that in August we had had to say goodbye for the last time to Amber, our gorgeous 19 year old cat. Isla asked if we were looking for another cat and I said we would wait for the right cats at the right time.....and she produced these two beautiful female kittens, about 10 weeks old and needing a good...
