We were astonished recently to see on one of our wildlife cameras that we have a family of FOUR otter making visits to our garden at The Dulaig.
We have known and filmed many times a single otter coming to a particular spot here, but seeing this family blew our socks off!
All Scots are fascinated about the weather. We are no different and here at The Dulaig we have just installed a weather station. Soon we will be able to see all sorts of facts about what the weather is doing. Surprisingly to most people, our town #Grantown-on-Spey in #Cairngorms National Park is one of the driest places in the whole of the UK. This - and the fact we are one of the coldest places - mean we also have virtually no midges as compared to other places in the Highlands!

The brilliant BBC "Winterwatch" is just about to start its 2019 series based, like The Dulaig, in the magnificent Cairngorms National Park.
More exciting still is that the Springwatch and Autumnwatch series will also be based in this area, enabling us all to follow the wildlife - including red squirrels, capercaillie, red deer, osprey etc - through the dramatic events and seasonal changes here. The programme will also showcase the incredible scenery of the area.

In its great write up The Guide says we provide "lovely amenities, hospitality and attention to detail" and quotes a guest who says of The Dulaig "There is no finer place to stay to explore the Highlands".

It has been our absolute pleasure to share our home, garden, love of Scotland and of food, with guests over the past 14 years. The experience of running our B&B exceeded our wildest dreams however we - Carol, Gordon (& The Cake Fairy) - have hung up our aprons for the last time.
Thank you to the wonderful guests from all over the world who have stayed with us. You have given us so many special memories which we will always treasure. Thank you too, everyone else who has supported us: your confidence in us was appreciated more than words can say.
