Great news - Amber cat is great after his op!!
We were very worried this week when Amber, our lovely 18 year old cat, had to have an operation on his teeth. The vet warned us that because of his age and other health problems there was a real risk that he may not survive the operation. We are delighted to say that Amber did make it through and he is now eating us out of house and home! Welcome home, Amber boy!!!

We are finalists in the Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards!
We are delighted to say that The Dulaig is a finalist in the Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards 2014. We are in the category "Most Hospitable B&B/Guesthouse"! The winner will be announced at the final on 7 November but to us reaching the finals is an award in itself! We have no idea who nominated us, but a great big "thank you" from us to that person. We will raise a nice dram to you, and to all of our guests, this evening.  Sliante!

We have had lots of lovely weather this summer at The Dulaig, but even in the rain there are plenty of things to see in our garden. We have over 60 rose bushes here -how beautiful is this Queen of Sweden rose after a shower?

Red Squirrel caught in the act eating our pine cones!

Here is the little red squirrel which is currently working its way through our pine cones. It is responsible for the pile of stripped cones shown in my post of 20 July. The squirrel is very cute....and very welcome at The Dulaig. I am glad we have so many cones for it to enjoy!
